Paul/K1PJM, volunteers to hold the antenna rack on the bed.
In earlier times, antennas from 222 MHz and up were mounted on a single mast, attached to an H frame. The 6M and 2M antennas were mounted on independent masts, and all were designed to rotate.
Dual microwave rigs on the porch of the warmup hut. The mast to the right was an earlier (2004) support for the 2M yagi. The pipe was scrounged on site, put into service, and returned to its original location.
The warm up hut, normally used by skiers, gives the team and the gear good shelter.
Phillip/AK1H, Henry/KT1J, and Randy/KA1LEX operate the contest.

[Hover/click right thumbnails to display below.]
A team of operators makes two trips per year to Gore Mountain to operate the VHF contest. A large station capable of operation on 50, 144, 222, 432, 906, 1296, 2304, 3456, and 5760 MHz—plus microwave gear—is packed in advance and carried to Gore by truck and trailer. Once there, all gear is transferred to mountain staff trucks for the ride to the summit.
